Saint Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School

Homework

At Saint Edmund Arrowsmith we are committed to developing pupil independence at home, ensuring that they are fully prepared for examinations and for the wider world of work. The completion of carefully planned homework forms a key part of this. Research by the Education Endowment Foundation suggests that "the impact of homework on learning is consistently positive (leading to on average five months' additional progress)".

Homework is set for pupils in all years at Saint Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic Academy, in accordance with the school homework policy. The frequency with which homework is set relates to the number of lessons studied in any given subject over a two week period. Please find below the homework timetables for 2021-22.

A Homework Club is also available for all pupils every day between 3pm and 4pm.
